Klinsmann: "Van Bommel is our skipper"

Trainer Jürgen Klinsmann has
taken notice of the proposal of Franz Beckenbauer to
rotate the captain's armband, but will not follow the
Kaiser's advice.
"Van Bommel remains our skipper.
He is a superguy. He is committed and communicates well,"
says Klinsmann, who is having a poor start of the season
with Bayern Munich.
Beckenbauer addressed the idea
to rotate the captain's armband in his weekly column
in Bild.
"Then each player will be
forced to take up responsibility," Beckenbauer
said.
"And if there is no good captain
a rotation system may bring one to the surface."
Klinsmann rejected the proposal
as he prepares his team for the Champions League encounter
with Olympique Lyon.
"There is no discussion about
our skipper."
