Martin Jol: "We weren't on the
pitch"

Hamburg didn't look like league
leaders at all on Sunday when they were beaten 3-0 by
newly promoted TSV Hoffenheim.
The final score was reached before
half-time as the home team found the back of the net
in the 7th, 13th and 35th minute.
After the break Hoffenheim opted
for more defensive tactics and gave Hamburg the initiative,
but the team of Martin Jol - without several key players
- never looked able to alter the verdict.
Martin Jol knew why his team had
lost without a chance.
"We weren't on the pitch and
that's asking for problems. We made mistakes on all
three goals. You can not do that against a good team."
Hoffenheim are the new league leaders,
1 point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, two points ahead
of Hamburg.
