Engelaar finally seals deal with Schalke

Orlando Engelaar will leave FC
Twente for German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 (Gelsenkirchen).
Twente reached and agreement with
the German club on a deal that is said to be worth 7
million Euro.
The 28-year-old midfielder will
soon put pen to paper on a deal for several years.
In joining Schalke Engelaar will
follow his coach Fred Rutten and assistant-coach Youri
Mulder, who also worked for FC Twente last season.
Engelaar will undergo a medical
check on 15 July and join the rest of the squad the
day after.
After Euro 2008 the tall midfielder
was eyed by a number of clubs, but from the start he
said that his only wish was to join Schalke.
