Jol: "Van der Vaart remains captain
of Hamburg"

Holland international Rafael van
der Vaart will remain the captain of HSV Hamburg in
the coming season, HSV-coach Martin Jol announced today.
"I see no reason to change
anything," the former Spurs-manager said.
Van der Vaart has been the skipper
for the last two seasons.
Whether the midfielder will actually
play in Hamburg during the coming season is still uncertain.
Although both the player and his
manager Søren Lerby have denied strong rumors
of a transfer to Real Madrid, Van der Vaart never made
it a secret that it's his desire to one day play for
a European top side.
Besides Madrid Van der Vaart is
said to be wanted by a number of the biggest clubs in
Europe.
