Van Basten: "There's a lot of work
to do"

Ajax-trainer Marco van Basten after
the defeat
in Tilburg realized that there is a lot of work
yet to be done.
"It wasn't good what Ajax
showed here today. I am very disappointed," the
former Holland boss said.
"The team doesn't gel yet
so we have a lot of work to do," said Van Basten
who played without an offensive midfielder in a classic
4-3-3.
The weakness of Ajax was the midfield
where the team lacked creativity to feed the three forwards.
"We thought that with this
lineup we would enough skill in midfield to do so. That
sadly wasn't the case," said Van Basten.
"We need time, hopefully not
too much, because we are already trailing PSV by three
points. Partially because of the games this group has
only been together for a week. Unfortunately I have
to let a lot of players go to play for their national
team over the next ten days. After that it is RODA JC.
Let's focus on that."
