Ajax and Barcelona agree on Oleguer

Ajax are very close to signing
Barelona-defender Oleguer Presas.
The Amsterdammers have already
reached an agreement with his club Barcelona about a
transfer worth around € 3 million.
Oleguer and Ajax are still to agree
the player's personal terms.
The 28-year-old Spaniard is the
experienced, aggressive defender that the club needs
according to the technical staff.
Oleguer has indicated he would
like to come to Amsterdam, but his salary demands of
2 million a year could be a serious obstacle in the
negotiations.
The defender was a regular for
Barcelona for three seasons, but last season he had
to play second fiddle to Italian Gianlucca Zambrotta,
gaining only 12 matches.
