Oleguer to join Ajax

Ajax have reached an agreement
with Spanish defender Oleguer Presas.
Ajax had reached an agreement with
his club Barcelona earlier
this week.
The 28-year-old Oleguer will undergo
a medical on Monday and after that sign a three year
contract with an option for a fourth.
Trainer Marco van Basten expects
the Spaniard for his first training with the team on
Tuesday.
A day later he will travel with
the team to a training camp in England.
Oleguer made his official debut
for Barcelona on 13 November 2002 in a Champions League-game
against Galatasaray.
He played 164 games for the Catalans,
winning the league and the Spanish cup twice and the
Champions League once.
His contract with Barcelona expired
in the summer of 2010.
Ajax will pay €3 million for
the replacement
of John Heitinga.
Barcelona will receive another
€2.25 million when Ajax qualify for the Champions
League while Oleguer is under contract.
