Ajax eye Roman Pavluchenko

Because Ajax and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
have put a halt to any negotiations about a new contract
the Amsterdam club have shifted their focus to the east.
Ajax are now eyeing Russian center
forward Roman Pavluchenko, Voetbal
International report.
Pavluchenko left a great impression
during the Euro 2008 tournament where he scored three
goals, one of them being the opener against Holland.
The 26-year-old was Russia's topscorer
for the last two seasons in a row.
He is also being targeted by Chelsea,
Arsenal and Celtic with the asking price of his club
Spartak Moscow estimated at around 15 million euro.
