McClaren: "Faith is the keyword"
Wednesday, 13 August 2008
FC Twente will be hoping to limit
the damage tonight against Arsenal.
Robin van Persie's club are favorites
for the first leg of the third round of the Champions
League qualifications, but the Tukkers are hoping
for an upset.
"We want to get a result so
that in two weeks we have something to play for in the
Emirates Stadium," coach Steve McClaren said yesterday.
Tonight's match is FC Twente's
debut in the Champions League.
"We are the underdogs and
often underdogs lack the confidence and believe to beat
the big favorites," says McClaren.
"But we'll sure as hell give
them a hard time and faith will be the keyword."
Top scorer Blaise N'Kufo (suspended)
and Youssouf Hersi (injured) are not at McClaren's disposal.
The rest of the squad are 100%
fit.
