Feyenoord sign Brazilian talent (18)

Feyenoord Rotterdam announced
tonight that the club have signed Brazilian talent David
Henrique dos Santos ‘Manteiga’.
Feyenoord and Manteiga - who played
five games for Vasco da Gama at the end of last season
- have agreed a three year contract with an option to
another two years.
The 18-year-old midfielder has
received a working permit and will be boarding a plane
to Rotterdam on Thursday to be presented next Saturday
at Feyenoord's century celebrations.
All new players are traditionally
flown into the stadium by helicopter.
Together with Manteiga and others
Feyenoord will present prodigal son Jon-Dahl Tomasson,
who has returned to De Kuip after more or less successful
spells with AC Milan, Stuttgart and Villareal.
Tomasson impressed tonight in a
practice match against an amateur side.
Feyenoord won 12-1 and Tomasson
only needed one half to net three and give one assist.
