Impressive NEC beat Dynamo Bucharest
Thursday 18 September 2008
NEC Nijmegen have started their
European adventure well.
In their own De Goffert stadium
they beat Rumanian Dynamo Bucharest 1-0.
The only thing the team of Mario
Been can be reproached with is that they scored only
one: John van Beukering headed home in the 57th minute.
In the first half NEC took the
initiative, but the biggest chance was for Danciulescu.
Shortly before the break an NEC
goal was disallowed for offside, but 12 minutes after
Van Beukering's header from an El-Akchaoui cross stood.
NEC had several good chances to
increase the score, but Saidi Ntibazonkiza, Peter Wisgerhof,
Joël Tshibamba and Bas Sibum all missed.
Lineups
NEC:
Babos; Fernández, Wisgerhof, Zomer, El-Akchaoui;
