NEC to take on Bucharest with three forwards
Wednesday 01 October 2008
NEC Nijmegen must defend a 1-0
lead over Dynamo Bucharest on Thursday, but despite
the narrow lead the team will start the game as usual
with three forwards in the starting lineup, coach Mario
Been says in the regional daily De
Gelderlander.
Because of the lead of NEC Bucharest
will have to play offensively, Been knows.
"But that does not mean that
we will dig ourselves in. When you go out there to only
hoof the ball away you are asking for trouble. We shall
have to try and score a goal ourselves. That is why
I will not change anything about our tactics. Against
Bucharest we shall play with three forwards, as always."
One thing seems certain: NEC are
in for a difficult night in Bucharest.
"Dynamo have an excellent
team, with a lot of physical power. On top they have
very fanatical support in their own stadium. I have
emphasized that in our match talk. We shall have to
find a way to shut ourselves off from the crowd. When
we play like we did in the first leg we have a good
chance. We can make history on Thursday. That is why
I want to see everybody giving it 100%," Been said.
