Cvitanich gets a hattrick as Ajax beat ADO Den Haag
Sunday 28 December 2008
Ajax have added three points to
their total by easily brushing aside ADO Den Haag.
The game was decided at an early
stage as the home team was 2-0 up after only 18 minutes.
South-Americans Darío Cvitanich
and Luis Suárez were the big stars in a game
that Ajax won 3-0 in the end.
In the game that also served as
the good-bye match for the departing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
Cvitanich emerged as a worthy successor to Huntelaar.
The Argentinean started in the
last four league games and scored six goals in these
games.
In Luis Suárez Cvitanich had the
perfect provider today.
The Uruguayan played a perfect
ball through the heart of the ADO Den Haag defense which
was picked up by Cvitanich on the edge of the box, he
then rounded ADO keeper Robert Zwinkels and put it in
the empty net: 1-0.
When the Argentinean added his
second 11 minutes later it was again Suárez who provided.
The Uruguayan crossed from the
right, Cvitanich beat his marker at the near post and
beat Zwinkels a second time.
Just to make things perfect the
two repeated that same scenario for Ajax' third: Suárez
crossing and Cvitanich heading it home.
Ajax' victory was fully justified
despite ADO having a strong phase after Ajax' second
goal.
The visitors needed a lot of fouls
and Christiaan Kum was lucky to make it until the end
of the game.
