De Graafschap and Roda gain little from
draw

With new coach Harm van Veldhoven
on the bench for the first time Roda seemed well on
the way to three points when Anouar Hadouir opened the
score for the visitors in the 64th minute, but Oost's
equalizer 8 minutes from the end decided differently.
Both teams gain little from a draw
as they need victories to get out of the danger zone.
De Graafschap had the upper hand
in the first half but the best chances were for Roda
JC, but Hadouir missed twice.
On the other side Jason Oost and
Steve de Ridder went close in the first half.
After the break the hosts remained
the more active side, but halfway through the second
half it were the visitors who opened the score.
De Graafschap were unable to adequately
clear a corner and Hadouir hit the net from just outside
the box.
The home team then increased the
pressure on the RODA goal but strikers Oost and Geert
den Ouden kept proving that scoring goals will be a
problem for De Graaschap this season.
Eight minutes from time Oost then
stayed calm and made it 1-1.
In an amusing last ten minutes
both teams had chances to score, but no more goals were
added.
