Wanted Eljero Elia: "I can handle higher level"

Eljero Elia is full of praise for
Ajax Amsterdam in an interview with Dutch magazine Sportweek.
The Amsterdammers hope to land
the FC Twente striker during the coming transfer window.
"I can add something to their
team," Elia says.
He hopes he can wear their jersey
as soon as possible.
"Ajax are a great club that
give me a very positive feeling. I have met with them
once and now it is up to the clubs to agree terms,"
says the 21-year-old.
According to Sportweek the clubs
will meet after New Year to discuss a transfer.
"I can handle a higher level,
I think I can add something to Ajax. A foreign club
may be too early. I don't want make the step too big."
If there is no transfer Elia says
he'll be happy to stay at FC Twente.
"I will not get cross with
FC Twente. I might even extend. That is an option too
as I feel fine here."
