Gertjan Verbeek: "Not ashamed! Why
should I?"

After Feyenoord's fourth defeat
in six matches and a disgraceful 15th spot in the table
coach Gertjan Verbeek says he's not ashamed.
"Why should I be ashamed?
I am not a bad person. And I haven't insulted anybody.
I am however disappointed. And it is a rotten feeling
as well. I am a sportsman, who likes to win. But sadly
we failed to do so again."
Verbeek said he couldn't explain
the bad first half and the much better second of his
team.
"You should ask the players.
They played, I didn't. Of course I will get back to
them about it on Monday. Because had we started the
match well we most likely would have gotten a result
here. Then we wouldn't have to be talking about a disallowed
goal and two headers on the post. We asked for these
problems."
Verbeek refused to speak of a crisis.
"There is none with me. Whether
the supporters think differently? I am not too concerned
with that at the moment. Those are things I can not
influence. I am mainly concerned with my team. I hope
the players have learned a thing or two today, even
though they are expensive lessons."
