Hofland can't play because dog is bad

Why wasn't Kevin Hofland on the
team sheet for Feyenoord's game against Den Haag?
The winning
coach Gertjan Verbeek gave a bit of bewildering answer
to that question: "You'll have to ask his dog,
Verbeek said with a smile.
What had happened?
Hofland had sprained his ankle
while walking his dog on Friday.
"The dog wanted to turn left
and Kevin went to the right. That didn't turn out well
for his ankle," the Feyenoord coach explained.
"Kevin did train on Saturday,
but felt he couldn't move freely. He indicated that
it would be better to put someone else on his place.
That shows the professional he is. Kevin is a big man."
