John Metgod to join Portsmouth

John Metgod
(50) will leave Feyenoord after having been with the
club for almost 20 years.
He will become the assistant to
Tony Adams at English Premier League club Protsmouth.
At Feyenoord he was working as
a scout after having played for the club and also having
trained a number of different squads.
Adams recently took over from Harry
Redknap who left for Tottenham Hostpurs.
Metgod had been wanting to return
to England for a while now.
He had good times there as a player
for Nottingham Forest (four seasons) and Tottenham Hotspurs.
The former Holland international
knows Adams from the time that the Englishman coach
one of Feyenoord's youth teams.
