Eredivisie, day 13: some facts

Ahead of round 13 in the Dutch
Eredivisie we have a look at some remarkable feats.
• FC Utrecht has never had
much success in Amsterdam against Ajax. The Amsterdammers
won on 33 occasions, there were three draws and only
twice FC Utrecht left with a victory
• The last three encounters
between Vitesse and Feyenoord in Arnhem ended in a 0-1
victory for the Rotterdammers. In the last two it was
a former Vitesse player who scored the only goal: Pierre
van Hooydonk and Nicky Hofs.
• Matches of Heerenveen are
usually a guarantee for goals. The Friesians scored
25. Only AZ, Ajax and FC Groningen scored more. Feyenoord
also scored 25. However Heerenveen also conceded 28
only Sparta Rotterdam and FC Volendam conceded more.

• FC Volendam are looking
for their first points away from home when they travel
to NEC Nijmegen this weekend. They are also still waiting
for their first goal away from home this season.
• Ajax and FC Groningen haven't
dropped a point in a home game this season. Ajax scored
16 and conceded only three in their six games in Amsterdam.
The Groningers are doing even better: they scored 19
and only allowed André Bahia of Feyenoord to
get one passed net minder Luciano
• Referee Pol van Boekel might
have a busy afternoon when he leads Heracles Almelo-Willem
II. The team from Tilburg have committed no less than
204 fouls so far this season. Heracles put 202 fouls
against that. No other team in the Eredivisie even comes
close to these numbers.
