PSV escape against NAC Breda
Saturday 24 January 2009
PSV problems have grown a bit bigger
again as they were unable to beat NAC Breda tonight:
2-2.
The patience of the fans with their
coach Huub Stevens seems to be running out as there
were chants for the coach to go.
With new forward Ola Toivonen in
the starting lineup instead of Danko Lazovic and Danny
Koevermans PSV took an early lead through Salcido.
But the lead was not followed by
a good first half and it was only right that NAC equalized
a few minutes from half-time.
After the break PSV played slightly
better, but they failed to convert the good chances
they created.
NAC created very little on the
other side, but when Jonas Kolkka decided to have a
run at the PSV defenders and lashed a shot at the goal
of Isaksson he was himself surprised that the ball went
in: 1-2.
But their happiness was short-lived
as a great run and a magnificent finish by Ibrahim Afellay
put the teams level again.
PSV - NAC Breda 2-2
1-0 14' C. Salcido
1-1 44' T. Loran
1-2 74' J. Kolkka
2-2 78' I. Afellay
