Roda JC and Fortuna Sittard agree to merger

Eredivisie club Roda JC and Jupiler
League outfit Fortuna Sittard have agreed to a merger
of the two clubs.
The Boards of both clubs accepted
the advice of a special advisory committee.
That committee has investigated
the possibilities and impossibilities and given a positive
advice on the merger.
Roda en Fortuna joining forces
is necessary the advisory committee "Topvoetbal
in Limburg" stated.
The newly founded club should enter
competition as of next season.
