Condolence site for Roda JC and Fortuna

Fans of Roda JC and Fortuna Sittard
have opened a condolence website for their clubs.
On Tuesday it was announced
that an advisory committee deemed a merger of the two
clubs necessary for their survival.
The boards of the two clubs have
embraced the merger but with the fans the news led to
emotional reactions.
On the website www.condoleanceregister.com
hundreds of fans have reacted to the posting that their
clubs have 'passed away'.
"My first love, dead, squandered
by a Director who made no attempts to let us live on
independently. Only one mission: fill your pockets and
get a good job within the new club. Thanks!" writes
an angry fan of Fortuna Sittard.
A fan of Roda JC also expresses
his anger.
"Roda JC, thanks for 35 years
of nice memories. Sadly we now have to part. I am being
forced by a Board who have killed you from the back.
I am speechless. Do they dare look at our logo when
they drive up the road to our wonderful Roda Parkstad
Stadium? I will always proudly remember you."
