Merger: Roda chairman and director receive
threats

After Roda JC and Fortuna Sittard
revealed plans
yesterday about an intended merger between the two clubs
the chairman and the director of Roda JC have received
threats by angry fans.
Emotional fans of Fortuna have
published the home address of Roda director Huub Narinx
on the Internet.
Chairman Servé Kuijer was
'welcomed' by a group of angry fans when he arrived
at the Roda Stadium last night.
Kuijer had just come back from
a press conference at the Provinciehuis, where
both clubs had expressed their intentions to merge.
Both clubs tried the same six years
ago and failed.
Then too members of the clubs'
boards were threatened.
