Euro 2012 - Van Marwijk: "We should
be able to qualify"
Sunday 07 February 2010
The national football team of the
Netherlands were drawn into a group
with Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Moldavia and San Marino
for the Euro 2012 qualifications.
Holland manager Bert van Marwijk
is content with that result.
"It's difficult to look that
far ahead. Qualifications don't start for another six
months and in between there's the World Cup. But it's
great that we're going to play the team of Erwin Koeman."
"Finland, Sweden and Hungary
are the better known nations, in theory Moldavia and
San Marino should be the lesser two. But I have said
it many times: you can not underestimate any opponent.
Van Marwijk thinks Oranje have
a good chance to qualify for the finals in Poland and
Ukraine in the summer of 2012: "Let's not walk
away from it. When reach our normal level we should
be able to get through."
