Kuyt: "Spanish have a lot of respect for us"

Dirk Kuyt knows there has been,
and still is, a lot of criticism on the way the Dutch
national team played in the final of the World Cup in
South Africa this summer. But the Dutch forward says
that his Spanish team mates in fact had a lot of respect
for the way Holland played.
"The Spanish at Liverpool,
Pepe Reina and Fernando Torres, have expressed nothing
but respect and appreciation for the way we played,"
Kuyt said.
"Of course there were fouls,
but there are always people who are critical. Everywhere
I went after the World Cup and during my holidays people
were enthusiastic. The way we were received by the Dutch
fans was magnificent. That showed they really appreciated
what we do. That is the feeling that will stick with
me after this tournament."
