Van Marwijk: "First I talk to Van Nistelrooy"

manager Bert van Marwijk will soon sit down and talk
with Ruud van Nistelrooy, now that he has invited the
Hamburg-striker back on the Dutch national team. The
coach was happy with the way the player reacted to his
selection.
Van Nistelrooy is called up to
replace the injured Robin van Persie. Van Marwijk didn't
want to say whether or not Van Nistelrooy will remain
a member of the team when Van Persie returns.
"First I am going to have
a calm conversation with Ruud," Van Marwijk told
Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad. "I already said that
I find it positive that Ruud wants to play for Holland
again. He has had a great start to the season and has
made a far better impression than he did three months
ago. At Hamburg he is a true out-and-out striker and
that's the position that suits him best. At the same
time we are missing two of our regulars; Robben and
Van Persie. So this is the perfect moment to bring him
back to the team and work together for a few days. Ruud's
reaction was very enthusiastic when I called him. That
was good to hear."
