Dirk Kuyt out for months

Dirk Kuyt will most likely be out
for the rest of the year. The Dutch international landed
awkwardly after he headed a ball during Holland's qualification
game against Sweden. Tests in hospital revealed that
he has torn off his ankle ligaments and will be out
for months.
During the game Kuyt wanted to
go back on after he had received treatment, but the
Dutch medical team didn't allow him and he was replaced
by Jeremain Lens. Kuyt was rushed to hospital during
the game, and there it was determined he had torn off
his ankle ligaments.
The Liverpool striker only just
recovered from a shoulder injury which he also picked
up during a trip with the national team in September.
