Makaay, Sibon and Jaliens in Olympic squad

Coach Foppe de Haan of the Dutch
Olympic football team announced his squad today that
will take part in the football tournament of the Olympic
tournament in Bejing.
The three dispensation players
that De Haan will take along with the U-23 squad are
Roy Makaay, Geral Sibon and Kew Jaliens.
The team will gather on July 20
for a training camp in preparation for the tournament.
During the preparation period Holland
will take part in a pre-Olympic tournament in Hongkong.
De Haan's team will play matches
against Cameroon and Ivory Coast there.
Holland will start it's Olympic
bid on 7 August in the Olympic Center Stadium in Tianjin
against Nigeria.
Ten days later the United States
will be the opponents in the same stadium, after which
the Orange Olympians will finish the group stage on
13 August in the Olympic Stadium in Shenyang
against Japan.
Besides the players in the squad
De Haan also appointed four players as reserves in case
one of the 18 selected gets injured.

Defense: Kew Jaliens (AZ), Calvin Jong-A-Pin (SC Heerenveen),

(PSV), Gianni Zuiverloon (West Bromwich Albion)
Midfield: Otman Bakkal (PSV), Urby Emanuelson (Ajax),
Jonathan de Guzman (Feyenoord), Hedwiges Maduro (Valencia),
Evander Sno (Celtic)
Offense: Roy Beerens (sc Heerenveen), Ryan Babel (Liverpool),
Royston Drenthe (Real Madrid), Roy Makaay (Feyenoord),
Gerald Sibon (sc Heerenveen).
