Trond Sollied: "This defeat was a
good lesson"
Thursday 23 October 2008
Heerenveen's defeat at the hands
of AC Milan was a good lesson, thinks their coach Trond
Sollied.
"Our boys are young and have
great futures. The players of AC Milan are a lot older.
But not just older, they are more developed and riper."
Sollied didn't blame his team for
not being able to withstand the Italian giants.
He did get excited about Milan's
first goal though.
Shortly before the goal Inzaghi
should have been sent off after slapping defender Calvin
Jong-A-Pin.
"A clear red card," Sollied
thought.
A few minutes after the incident
Jong-A-Pin scored an own goal after he was fouled by
Inzaghi.
"That goal should have been
disallowed," Sollied concluded.
