"Davids ready for Argentina"

After eight months of absence
Edgar Davids is ready return to football.
Argentinean sources say the player
is about to sign for River Plate.
Davids would want to finish his
career in the Argentinean league, and the preferred
club of the 35-year-old midfielder would be River Plate.
Néstor Gorosito, coach of
Los Millonarios has said he is looking for a
defensive midfielder.
Boca Juniors, Independiente and
Newell's Old Boys are also said to be after the Dutchman.
Since Davids left Ajax last summer
several clubs have tried to land the former player of
Juventus and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Genoa and Kocaelispor came closest
but were unable to agree terms with the player.
