Spain and Holland at this World Cup
Thursday, 8 July 2010
Spain secured a place
in the final of the 2010 Football World Cup in South
Africa with an impressive win over Germany. Spanish
newspapers speak of Spain's best game ever this morning,
and Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk has outed himself as
a lover of the Spanish game.
We are in that group
as well. We love the way Spain play, and if they were
to beat Holland with another great display we would
probably take the third defeat in a World Cup final
of the Dutch a bit lighter than with any of the other
teams.
That said: Holland
will win. Of course. For that's what we do these days:
winning.
But discussions in
advance are usually useless. If they weren't why play?
Still football wouldn't be such a great game if you
couldn't have such lengthy useless discussion before
and after.
To give you all some
ammunition ahead of Sunday's final we have gathered
some great statistics of both teams at this tournament.
