Heitinga: "We were the better team from kickoff"

John Heitinga saw
no reason to complain after the victory against Japan
in the second World Cup game. "We were the better
team from kickoff", the centre-back said Saturday
after a laborious win against the Asians (1-0).
Neither Holland nor
Japan managed to create a lot of chances. "I think
we kept calm and remained concentrated from the start.
We know they have a lot of pace and so we had to wait
for that one moment. When that comes, you have to be
very alert and I think we did that well. A lot has been
said and written about the defense, but we know, each
single one of us, what we're capable of. We all try
to give it our best."
If Cameroon doesn't
win the game against Denmark, Oranje are certain
about their seat in the next round. "In a few we
fly back to Johannesburg and I hope on arrival we will
hear that Denmark has won the game", Heitinga sniggert.
