| Dirk Kuyt cheers after scoring
Holland's second against the Danes |
Dirk Kuyt got a compliment for
his performance against Denmark from Johan Cruyff. Cruyff
said: "He did well, especially when he moved to
the center forward position."
The Liverpool-player was delighted:
"Such a compliment certainly affects me,"
he said.
"For me Cruyff is the best
Dutch player ever. So for me that is a great compliment.
I just did my best against Denmark and I will try to
stay on this track."
Kuyt scored Holland's second goal
against the Danes and was very present during the game.
When Robin van Persie was taken off he moved from the
wing to the center. "I did what I was asked to
do on the right. In the end the boss put me in the center
and that went well as well. I believe we have a great
team with some fantastic players and that makes it easier
for me as well."
Yet it's not that Kuyt assumes
he will be the center forward from now on: "I play
where the coach needs me. He has a number of possibilities
up front. But I don't care where I play. I just hope
to start every game and be important to the team. It's
all about the team, not about me."
