"We all need a bit of fortune,"
said Mark van Bommel after the game, hinting at the
fortunate way in which Holland had gone 1-0 up in the
game against Denmark.
"And I didn't even see how
it all happened, I was told afterwards," Van Bommel
said about Poulsen's unfortunate intervention.
"Given the circumstances the
game wasn't that bad," the Bayern-captain said.
"The pitch was hard to play on and it was hard
to play a long pass. But we've started and that's what
counts."
