Van Marwijk calls off training and rests players
Tuesday, 15 June 2010
Bondscoach Bert van Marwijk
has called off tonight's closed training session. The
Holland boss had two training sessions planned for today
- one in the morning and one in the evening. But he
has decided to call off the evening session and give
the players some rest after yesterday's tiring game
(because of the high altitude) against the Danes. The
morning session at Wits University will take place as
planned, starting at 11h30.
Arjen Robben will train with the
rest of the squad with first time since he arrived in
South Africa.
Second goal keeper Michel Vorm
has returned home for a few days, after his wife gave
birth to their first child on Sunday. He should return
in time for Saturday's match against Japan.
