Van Marwijk backs Van der Vaart
21 June 2010
The 2010 World Cup in South Africa
is not going according to plan for Rafael van der Vaart.
The Real Madrid midfielder was taken off in both games
and there has been a lot of criticism on the midfielder
in the Dutch media.
But Dutch manager Bert van Marwijk
does not agree with that criticism: "Rafael did
very well against Japan. He added depth to the team,
but his team mates didn't give him the ball often enough,"
Van Marwijk said.
Van der Vaart didn't train yesterday
because of light neck injury. "But it's nothing
to worry about," said Van Marwijk.
