Cocu: "Slovakia are hard to beat"

Phillip Cocu was a member of the
1998 squad we described in an earlier
article. Now the former Barcelona player is one
of the assistants to Holland manager Bert van Marwijk.
Cocu yesterday saw Holland's opponents
in the round of 16, Slovakia, beat Italy and was impressed.
"Slovakia played a fantastic game against Italy
and they deserved to win it. It will be very tough to
beat Slovakia and go through."
But Cocu thinks it's not just Slovakia
who are doing well, as he noticed that the margins are
small at this World Cup. "Many teams have trouble
winning their games. That is why we can be very happy
with nine points."
