goal of the World Cup |
Arjen Robben was very
happy that his return to the starting lineup of the
Dutch team was decisive. After 17 minutes his shot after
a typical Robben move opened the score of a game that
finished 2-1 to Holland.
"It's a good
feeling that I've had my first start and played well.
That's not self evident. I'm happy about my performance,"
Robben said on Dutch TV.
But Holland were troubled
by the tough Slovaks. Twice goal keeper Maarten Stekelenburg
had to keep his team alive with great saves. "It
was a difficult game," Robben admitted. "But
the most important thing is that we came through to
the quarterfinal."
Most people expect
Brazil to be the next opponent. Robben knows they will
have to play better than they have done so far. "But
perhaps we'll play that one perfect game against them.
We'll have to do better than we did today."
