Robben after first day of treatment: "Hopeful"
Monday, 7 June 2010
Arjen Robben is very hopeful about
a speedy return to fitness. The forward who pulled a
hamstring in Saturday's game against Hungary (6-1) thinks
he can play an important role at the World Cup.
On Monday morning Robben worked
with physiotherapist Dick van Toorn for four hours.
"Tedious exercises, but I am very hopeful. Now
we just have to see how much progress can be made. It's
too early to tell whether I'll be okay in a couple of
days or a week. I'm happy the manager has given me time
to recover and has not named a substitute."
