| Erwin Koeman: "This Dutch
team will always score a goal or two" |
Erwin Koeman was was greatly impressed
with the Dutch team that beat his Hungarian side 6-1
in Amsterdam. However Koeman warned that Holland shouldn't
exaggerate the frivolous play once the tournament in
South Africa has started.
"Holland shouldn't overdo
it. Such gallery play can bring out the worst in an
opponent. Either they get malicious or they get very
motivated. Yet that might arrogance, that bluff as Cruyff
calls it, is also part of Dutch football and makes us
stronger," said Koeman.
He added: "Robben made a strange
move when he backheeled that ball. At that spot and
that moment there was no need for it at all. Offensively
Holland have all the qualities it takes to go a long
way. They don't have to be afraid of anybody. This Dutch
team will always score a goal or two. But they are a
little vulnerable at the back from time to time. Against
Ghana and Hungary that hardly surfaced. But the forwards
of Spain, Brazil and Argentina can hurt them a lot more."
