Van Marwijk drops Bakkal, Brama and Mendes

Otman Bakkal, David Mendes da Silva
and Wout Brama will not come along with the Dutch national
football team to the 2010 World Championships in South
Africa. Holland boss Bert van Marwijk announced that
decision today.
This leaves another 27 players
in the preliminary squad of which another four will
be dropped later on.
"It wasn't an easy decision
for us," said Van Marwijk. "I've been in touch
with my staff about this constantly in the past few
days. In the end we looked at the squad and whether
we had two players for each position. The boys reacted
professionally."
The squad is now made up of these
27 players:
