Van Persie angry about criticism on Van
Basten

van Persie has also spoke out in defense of former Holland
boss Marco van Basten. Van der Vaart said earlier this
month that the Van Basten had been the founder of the
current Dutch side. Van Persie agreed: "He always
gave us a lot of confidence, also in difficult times.
Van Basten has had a great impact on our development."
Van Persie thinks highly of Van
Basten, and feels offended by the criticism on the coach
of some players of Ajax. "They should have opened
their mouths when he was still there. This was ridiculous.
Marco is a great guy and a great coach. All these negative
stories about him are total nonsense. He was depicted
in a way that is just not him. I was really upset by
that. It wasn't fair," Van Persie said.
