Van Persie misses party: "I was wasted"

van Persie was missing from the big party on the field
of the Greenpoint Stadium after Holland had beaten Uruguay
2-3 in the semifinal of the World Cup.
While his team mates were cheering
all over, Van Persie sat down in the dugout.
It wasn't that he wasn't as happy
as his team mates, on the contrary. "But I was
just completely wasted. I thought I'd sit down for a
second and join them later on," Van Persie explained.
The Arsenal player didn't score,
but he played his best match at the World Cup so far
yesterday. "It felt like that, yes. But most of
all I am happy that we have made it to the final and
that I am part of this team. This achievement is already
legendary. DO I realize I'm going to be in the World
Cup final? Not really, but it will come tomorrow (today,
df).
