New manager Paul Ince has certainly
had a busy first few weeks at Blackburn, the vast majority
of his time seemingly spent rejecting bids from other
clubs for his playing staff.
Mirror.co.uk reported this morning that the club had
rebuffed Newcastles £2m offer for defender
Stephen Warnock who only joined Rovers 18 months
ago himself.
And now Blackburn chairman John
Williams has revealed an approach for Dutch international
Andre Ooijer has also been turned down.
"We have received a bid from
Panathinaikos but I have made it clear Andre is not
for sale," he said.
Eredivisie-teams PSV, Ajax and
Feyenoord have also shown interest in the services of
the defender who came through the ranks at Ajax, matured
at PSV and now is one of Blackburn's most consistent
defenders.
Last summer Ooijer played his part
in the Dutch national team's spectacular group matches
at Euro 2008.
