Heitinga helps Atletico beat Deportivo

John Heitinga this weekend helped his club Atletico Madrid beat Deportivo La Coruna.

The Dutch defender opened the score in the first half.

After the break the home team increased the score to make it 4-1.

Diego Forlan (2) and Maxi Rodriguez joined Heitinga on the score sheet for Madrid.

Filipe Kasmirski softened the verdict for Feyenoord's next UEFA Cup opponents in the last minutes of the game.

Atletico are now sixth in the table with 17 points, 11 points behind leaders Barcelona who beat Recreativo Huelva 2-0.
