Arjen Robben: "Messi is the best"

Arjen Robben thinks the wrong player
has been named World Footballer of the Year. According
to the Dutch winger of Real Madrid Argentinean Lionel
Messi (Barcelona) should have won the honor instead
of Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United).
"For me Messi is the best
player in the world. What more can I say? He has been
in exceptional shape of late, from a different planet
really. And the best thing is: he is different,"
Robben said on Wednesday.
A debate has been going on in the
Madrid media about who is the best player in the Primera
Division: Robben or Messi.
Both players have been instrumental
for their teams since the start of the second half of
the season in Spain.
The 23-year-old from Groningen
was modest: "Things are going well now. But I need
to get more efficient going forward; against Mallorca
I should have scored a second goal."
