Klaas-Jan Huntelaar second most productive player
in the world

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was the second
most productive player in the world in 2008.
He was just slightly less successful
than Argentinean Lucas Ramón Barrios of Colo
Colo from Chile.
The Real Madrid striker, who won
the honor issued by the IFFHS in 2006, scored 33 league
goals in 34 matches in 2008 where Barrios netted 37
in 38 league games.
Uruguayan Miguel Alejandro Ximénez,
came third with 32 goals in 41 matches for Sporting
Christal Lima.
The ranking is drawn up from players
in the 50 strongest leagues in the world.
The IFFHS, an organization keeping
track of all kinds of statistics in football, hand out
the prize since 1997.
