Van der Vaart scores three for unchained

Led by a sensational Rafael van
der Vaart Real Madrid hammered Sporting Gijon last night
in the Primera Division.
The Spanish champions swept the
newly promoted team of the pitch: 7-1.
Dutch midfielder Van der Vaart
scored three and had one assist on a goal of his fellow
Dutchman Arjen Robben.
Raul (2) and Gonzalo Higuain scored
the other goals for Madrid.
Van der Vaart first scored from
a volley, his second was goal was a brilliant backheel
and the third a well-placed shot.
Robben scored after a smart throughball
by Van der Vaart.
The former Ajax and Hamburg forward
is now the sole topscorer in the Spanish league with
4 goals.
