Real to appeal Van Nistelrooy red card

Real Madrid will appeal against
the red card Ruud van Nistelrooy got in Saturday's
match against Atlético Madrid.
Van Nistelrooy was sent off after
for a late but by no means mean tackle on Maniche.
At that moment the home team had
already been reduced to 10.
Luis Perea was given his marching
orders after he slapped Wesley Sneijder in the face.
"It was a mistake by the referee,"
Van Nistelrooy said after the game.
"I told him three times that
that foul was only worth a yellow card. But he wouldn't
listen. He also wrongly disallowed two of our goals."
